THE WEDDING DAY
We are so excited to celebrate our love with our friends and family. We have kept this special day intimate with the people that have truly impacted our lives. There will be a gorgeous ceremony outside and the reception will follow. The reception is located in a small house. The walk from the ceremony to the reception will be an 8-minute walk. Please be mindful of the cobblestones in the city.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
Cartagena is a vibrant city with lots of beautiful places to stay. We recommend staying in the Old City aka the Walled City or Ciudad Amurallada. Unfortunately, Cartagena doesn't permit room blocks. We would love for everyone to stay at the same hotel (Bastion Luxury Hotel)- we are all family now!
RAFAEL NUNEZ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
There are several direct flights from the US to Cartagena. Make sure you have the address of where you are staying (hotel, AirB& B, etc) for the immigration officer. We recommend ordering an Uber - there are always Ubers available near the airport. They will be there in less than 5 minutes. It's a 15-minute drive from the airport to the City Walls.
BASTION LUXURY HOTEL
The majority of the family will be staying in this hotel. Please book your reservation prior to October
This is a 10-minute walk from the reception or a 6 minute uber drive
HOTEL CASA DON LUIS
If Bastion Hotel is full - this will be our second location for all the family to stay in.
This hotel is located a 2-minute walk from the reception
AIRBNB
Look in "the City Walls" near the venue to walk back after wedding

Can I bring my kids?
We love your kids so much but this party and all wedding events are adults only.
Is there a registry?
Many of you will travel long distances to share our wedding day with us. The most important gift to us is having you there on our special day.
However, if you would like to bless us with a gift then a contribution towards our
honeymoon will be most appreciated.
How should I get around?
Everything is very walkable. It is safe to hail a taxi, especially from landmarks. Taxi drivers have set fares to the most popular destinations, so you should confirm the amount before you leave. You can also use Uber.
What is the currency? Should I use cash?
The currency used in Cartagena is Colombian pesos (COP). We recommend exchanging U.S. dollars to Colombian pesos prior to your trip. If you run out of pesos there are several places in the walled city to exchange your dollars. You will need cash for taxis (you can use Uber) and to purchase items from street vendors and mom-and-pop shops.
Should I drink the tap water there?
Some tap water is safe, but to err on the side of caution, bottled water and beers (cervezas) are readily available in the area. You don't need to worry about ice in your drinks if you are eating at a restaurant frequently visited by tourists, as the bar probably uses purified ice! When in doubt, beer is 95% water.
Do I need to complete immigration forms?
Yes! Check-MIG Colombia is a mandatory document for all travelers entering or leaving Colombia and (within 72hours of travel)must be completed before arriving in Colombia to be allowed to enter the country.
What is the best form of communication?
We recommend you download the app called "Whatsapp" to text and call when you are in Cartagena. This app works great with wifi.
Do I need a COVID-19 test to enter?
For vaccinated guests, Colombia is not currently requiring a test to enter at this time. You also no longer need a negative test to re-enter the United States. We will continue to provide updates should requirements evolve.
